Amazing attention and delicious food! Great restaurant for those wanting more attentive waiters, getaway from most crowds and enjoy a relatively pampered lunch or dinner. Went by with my family to celebrate my birthday. They have never been so I really went for them. We were welcomed as soon as we went in and seated within 5 minutes. It seems the table was not ready as they had just opened 45 mins ago, so I found it weird that the hostess was cleaning (we weren't the only ones). Our waiter was very attentive in the beginning and got kinda lost at one point but he was on top of our drinks for the most part. He did treat us like we were the only ones there and I like that a lot. The flat bread cracker type of thing and bread they bring out is super delicious with the butter on the side. We really enjoyed the flat cracker one and they did bring us out more. The food - regular and average portion PACKED with loads of fresh ingredients and seasoning. My steak salad, although I asked for medium status but got it well done, was good. My family enjoyed their plates a lot and was not expecting such a flavorful plate. The drinks... wow. Just wow. I think I would come by just for the bar offerings lol. The drinks were great and reasonable priced. $8 for a well made drink?! Jeez!! Can't beat that. :)
This is probably my favorite place to go for happy hour! They have a happy hour that goes until 6:30pm on weekdays and then a late night happy hour that starts at 9. The happy hour menu drinks are mostly $4-5 and the eats are also $4-6. My favorite thing to snack on is the spinach artichoke dip, which is no longer on the happy hour menu, but it's $9 and totally worth the few extra bucks. Brio is a classy place, with fast and friendly service, and it's located in Gulfstream, so you can walk around after and you will find plenty to do (bowling, froyo, night clubs, casino, etc) Free parking (garage and street parking available) Highly recommend Brio, especially for happy hour!
What's a good option when you're not terribly hungry, it's sort of early in the evening and you don't want to spend an arm and a leg on alcohol? Happy hour!!!! And Brio Tuscan Grille has a good one. It ends at 6:30 -- I don't recall when it starts -- but get there early enough to snag a seat on the patio and get your fill of discounted food and drink. The white sangria, complete with peach liquor, was delish. My friend equated it to a Bellini. $5! We shared three appetizers, each I think $5. Calamari with two dipping sauces -- could've been a little crisper, but good! Spicy shrimp over eggplant. 3 shrimp to an order. (They could've thrown in a fourth!) And fried mashed potato balls; not my idea of good. Friendly staff, good ambience. I could use a glass of sangria as we speak! Definitely going back for dinner.
Smaller portions than expected, but good tasting dishes. We started with (a bit overcooked) flatbread and spinach and artichoke dip, both were ok. I liked my shirmp served with veggies and orzo. The salmon looked great, and the fried fish looked good too. We ended with chocolate cake and tiramisu. All in smaller portions than just about anywhere else. Oh, last one, cappuccino was pretty but weak, a true disappointment!
My husband and I went from eating here a couple of times a week during our vacation to writing them off completely after seeing a decline in the service, portions, and quality of the food since we'd first come years ago. We found ourselves back at Brio tonight, as BOTH of our go-to restaurants in Gulfstream have closed! We were promptly seated in the busy patio area and after explaining our reluctance to our waitress Tajj she was very apologetic and assured us that we would enjoy our night out. She welcomed us back with such a warm smile and took her time to explain the Chef's Specials and recommend her favorite dishes, which was comforting because most times I feel like I'm a bother or asking too many questions. Our drinks were top notch and so was the food. I'm hoping this wasn't a fluke. We will be back this weekend and asking for Tajj.
